Besides surgery, VR is also helping patients affected by mental health conditions. VR therapy is used to treat anxiety, PTSD, and phobias by exposing them to controlled virtual environments in a safe and therapeutic manner.

The potential of VR and AR is vast; however, many challenges must be addressed so that these technologies can fully realize their possibilities:

Hardware Limitations: VR headsets and AR glasses still face problems such as bulkiness, short battery lives, and demanding computing power. They have to become lighter, more comfortable, and affordable to experience a mainstream click.

Privacy & Ethical Concerns: The immersive nature of VR and AR raises privacy and data security concerns. Being able to track users’ movements, facial expressions, and interactions, there must be a clear framework for protecting users’ data and privacy.
